1. Updated Rental Policy (For the Checkout Checkbox)

Bike Bag Rental Policy By checking this box, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms:

  • Full Refund: You are entitled to a full refund if you cancel your booking more than 7 days before your scheduled start date.

  • Partial Refund: If cancellation occurs within 7 days of the booking, a $20 administration fee will be charged, and the remaining balance will be refunded.

  • No Refund: No refunds will be issued if you fail to collect the rented equipment on the agreed date or cancel after the hire period has started.

2. Updated Terms of Service (Combined)

This website is operated by Melbourne Bike Bag Rentals. Throughout the site, the terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Melbourne Bike Bag Rentals. By visiting our site, renting equipment, or purchasing products from us, you engage in our “Service” and agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions.

Equipment Rental Agreement

  • Identification: At the time of booking or pickup, the Hirer must provide a copy of a valid Driver’s License.

  • Security Deposit: A refundable deposit of $100 is required for each rental. This will be returned upon the safe return of all equipment in its original condition.

  • Condition of Equipment: The Hirer commits to returning the equipment in the same condition it was received. Significant damage or missing parts will incur repair costs.

  • Replacement Fees for Missing Parts:

    • Fork Adapters/Spacers: $40 per item.

    • Handlebar Pads: $60 per item.

  • Late Returns: A fee of $30 per day applies for any item not returned by the agreed date.

  • Loss or Theft: If a bag is lost or stolen, the Hirer is liable for the full replacement cost: $1,500 for the EVOC Pro Road Bag or $1,000 for all other bike bags.

E-Commerce & Product Sales

  • Shipping & Lithium Batteries: Products containing lithium batteries are shipped via Standard Road Transport only to comply with Australian safety regulations.

  • Australian Consumer Law (ACL): Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the ACL. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure.

Liability & Indemnity

  • Property Damage: Melbourne Bike Bag Rentals is not liable for any damage to the Hirer’s bicycle, components, or personal belongings during the use of rented or purchased equipment, including during transit or assembly.

3. Updated Refund & Return Policy

Equipment Rentals

  • Full Refund: Cancel more than 7 days before your start date for a full refund.

  • Partial Refund: Cancel within 7 days of your start date and a $20 administration fee will be deducted from your refund.

  • No Refund: No refunds for no-shows or cancellations after the hire period has started.

Product Sales (E-commerce)

  • Change of Mind: We do not offer refunds or exchanges for "change of mind" once a product (e.g., a bike tracker or tool) has been opened or used.

  • Unopened Items: Unopened products in original packaging may be returned within 14 days of purchase for store credit or refund (excluding shipping costs).
